After submitting it as a 10 minute play submission, my play Stop Talking got accepted into the 1 act slot for the Maine Playwrights Festival!

Staged readings of my play and two more 1 acts took place Monday, May 18th and will take place this afternoon May 23rd.

My play is about the comfort that privilege brings into our bodies. It is a play of repetition of the same phrase of the title in regards to different racialized dynamics.

It's incredible sitting in an audience listening to different people's reactions of your words. It was also incredible to participate in a talkback where people asked questions about poetic devices in my stage dirrections, my hopes for the play's future, and the joys of collaboration.
