I finally won something that has a cash prize attached!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

I'm so grateful for The Headlight Review for selecting my chapbook Feminine Morbidity for publication and for a $500 dollar prize.

Here's a blurb from the contest judge Olatunde Osinaike:

"As with all we tend, love is not linear. Some moments it breaks, others it flees like a comb from hair but it is here - where doubt ends and faith begins - that we find this dazzling collection of poems, moving us from our own understanding of expectation to the dream of reimagining. In Feminine Morbidity, we find an unapologetic writer able to walk the fine line of surprise and devotion, upending the long-held history of Western birthright and belonging. A lens that is at once an embodiment of resilience and uplift, this work is one of intention and reassertion. In an elevation of lineage and identity, Williams illustrates the true spark of liberation, acknowledging the spirit and language owed to that which we build in place of the empire."

My best friend and one of my favorite poet Mia S. Willis will be blurbing it (the image above might give you insight as to why :) ) along with the remarkable poet friend of mine Ian-Khara Ellasante.

More details to come! Looking forward to it coming out this fall!

Congratulations on publishing another chapbook! Your dedication to creative expression is truly inspiring. As someone from a Business Content writing company in Dubai, I really appreciate the power of words and storytelling. Wishing you continued success and many more beautiful publications in the future—your voice truly matters!

That's so exciting that you're publishing another chapbook. It actually inspires me to finally turn my long thesis project into something people can read. I might need to find a professional thesis writer to help me edit it down and make it good enough to publish.
