This is the most INCREDIBLE news I have received all year thus far!
After going through a nomination process, making it top three nominees, I have been selected by the Portland Public Library and Portland-based authors, artists, and community members to become Portland's Seventh Poet Laureate!
No amount of words can express how grateful I am for every person in my different communities and friend groups in Portland, Maine who made this possible.
In 2017, I moved to Portland, Maine to get my MSW. Next thing I know, art made me stay after graduation.
